Grant Writing Advisory Board

The Grant Writing Advisory Board was created on June 6, 2017.  The regular meeting schedule TBA.  

The Grant Writing Advisory Board was created by the Village of Biscayne Park Commission pursuant to Ordinance No. 2017-02.  The Board's purpose, duties and responsibilities are as follows:
    

Purpose.The general purpose of the Grant Writing Advisory Board is to identify grant opportunities that are consistent with the Village Commission’s policy goals and the Village’s adopted plans, as well as consistent with the construction and/or enhancement of public assets.

Board Membership. The Grant Writing Advisory Board shall consist of five (5) members.

1.  Authorization for consultant or support services. The Board shall act as an advisory board to the Commission and all consultant or support services to be furnished to the Board must be requested from and approved by the Village Commission or Village Manager if designated prior to the services being secured.

2.  Duties and responsibilities. Upon Village Commission request, the Grant Writing Advisory Board shall seek out grants.  The Grant Writing Advisory Board will submit all proposed grant opportunities to the Village Commission for approval prior to the preparation of and submittal of any grant applications. In addition, the Grant Writing Advisory Board shall provide the monetary cost to the Village and any Village obligations that will be required if the grant is awarded and accepted. The Grant Writing Advisory Board will report to the Village Commission any grants that are accepted by the grant awarding agency.
